I’m taking a different approach with this Baldur’s Gate 3 write-up. As with my playthrough 10 write-up, my goal is to make things easier for whoever might be reading it.
This time, I’m breaking the write-up into smaller individual blog posts. I’ve typically written one long post per playthrough. My goal, as with my massive post on 3D printing, was to get it all out of my system at once,
I hope that breaking it down into smaller posts will work better.
If nothing else, this approach will make it easier for you to skip, let’s say, the sex scenes with Gale. You can focus on the system mechanics of D&D Wizard spell slots, if that’s your thing.
“Why are you writing these playthrough posts?”
It’s not that surprising when you think about it. Each playthrough represents 120-180 hours of game time for me. I’ve written reviews for individual games that take a tenth as long to play to their end.
I could do BG3 runs faster. In fact, it’s possible to complete the game is less than 20 minutes.
Here’s an example if you’re curious:
I have no interest in that. I play BG3 for the story, to explore the enormous variety of choices the game offers, and see parts of the game I’d never seen before. Even after ten previous playthroughs, I discovered much that was new to me.
As long as each playthrough tells a different story, or offers a different experience, I’ll keep writing them up.
