A Witch Does Passover 2023… not!

Well, I got a bit closer this time.

I unpacked all the seder gear that had been sitting in my closet since last year (and before that had been sitting there since 2003). I actually set up the seder table (which was my gaming table, of course):

I somehow managed to keep the cats from jumping on the table.

Although you see four place settings, I didn’t actually anticipate that many people attending; I just wanted to offer the guests their own choice for where to sit. Note the “silverware presentation fold” on the napkins!

I won’t go into the details as I did last year. The short version is that a combination of a Wednesday-night seder and issues involving COVID once again brought the guest list down so much that a seder seemed pointless.

Fortunately, I had not yet done any Passover shopping, apart from some matzoh. Unlike last year, I don’t have to figure out what to do with 30 eggs.

We’ll see what happens in 2024!
