Smoke alarms and an angry cat
I’ve previously posted about the hostile attitude that one of my cats, Shadow, has towards strangers. This has me worried again.

I just spent three hours reorganizing my closets in order to make room to store my new yurt.I could have stayed at Vann's birthday party and watched him paint beautiful women all night. As of noon the day after, he was still painting! Meanwhile, I was hefting trunks full of old memories around. We all have to…
I don't have any great Passover sagas to report this year. The seder was successful: this year I did not make too much food, and most of what I made turned out well.
Next week I'm going to present my annual Passover seder. For those of you don't bother to read my old posts (most of you, I assume... in fact, I'm not sure if anyone reads these posts), here are my earlier ruminations on the subject of Passover:A Witch Does Passover (Part 1)A Witch Does Passover (Part 2)A Witch…
I mentioned in a previous post that I was having trouble giving away the suit I wore at my Ph.D. thesis defense. I made an analogy with how some folks might treat their wedding dress: it’s something I was never going to be able to wear again, but it represented something important it my life.
I am in an introspective mood at the moment, at least with regards to Wicca, my religion of choice. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I became involved with the Craft in 1991. 3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS
4. Tag at least 10 friends who might enjoy doing the game as well as the person you got the note from.
There are many sites on the web with reviews of gadgets of all sorts. I don’t propose to compete with them, since I’m certainly not a dedicated "gadgeteer." But I figure that an occasional post on some device that I find interesting or useful can do no harm.
One week ago, I didn’t know that devices like the Sodastream home soda maker existed. I read about it in an article in the NY Times, on how to save money and reduce waste. I did some "homework" (meaning web searches) and decided to purchase one.
In my last two posts, I talked about significant events in my life, and about cleaning out my closets. There's something I found while cleaning out my closets of old clothing. I should get rid of it. I know that will never fit into it again for the rest of my life. But I find it hard to…
I just got finished writing an overly self-indulgent post, but that wasn’t the reason I visited LiveJournal today. My original intent was to write about giving away garb.
