Edit a few weeks later: No, the problem is NOT solved. It’s just that the “test save” I used started working again. Other saves did not. I decided to leave the post up, with just a change in the title and this note.
In a post in which I wrote about problems I had running Baldur’s Gate 3 on my Mac, I described a problem I had with running the program while also running VPN. I went through network traces and whatnot to try to track down the problem, with no success.
Larian released Hotfix #34 for BG3 about a week ago. I don’t know how or why, especially since the patch notes don’t discuss any fixes that are directly network-related, but that VPN problem I had has gone away.
Good work, Larian, especially since I never filed a complaint about this obscure issue. Thanks!
