When we get to the end of a game, I often forget to take photos for this series of blog posts.
Last week we played Apothebakery. It was a lot of fun, but I don’t have any pictures of it.
Last night we played two games, both by allplay. They seem to emphasize small, short, inexpensive games. For our group, a game advertised to be “15 minutes long” is liable to take a hour or more, but that’s just in how we play.
The first game was Ruins, which is an interesting take on deck-building: It vaguely resembles Mystic Value, in that you improve the cards in the deck using transparent overlays.
Unfortunately, I didn’t think to take any pictures until after the end of the second game we played, Money.
Money is a bidding set-building game. You build up sets of currency. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the end-game scoring rules and wasted bids to acquire cards that didn’t make a difference to my score.

Overall, it was a fun evening.
